Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s New Year’s Eve is a beachfront gala for more than a thousand guests with the Burj Al Arab standing in for the backdrop, and Light Up the Night took that as its brief. The stage design was built around light: a layered set that shifted through the evening, from the glow of dinner to the full wash of the countdown, so the night visibly brightened as it went.
Paris Select carried the entertainment, the buffet ran the length of the lawn, and the stage sat where every table had a sightline to both the performance and the sea. At midnight the fireworks took over, framed by the Burj Al Arab, and the year arrived exactly where the name had promised it would.
